i'm not motherless...actually fatherless.

he's still alive, i actually lived with my parents until i bought my own house in june.

my father was horribly abusive and i stopped talking or even looking at him years ago.

it doesn't bother me that i don't talk to him, rather, it's more that i feel like i missed out on the daughter/father bond. sometimes it makes me sad, especially as we start to plan our own family.

let me know if it would be okay if i posted since it's a dad, not a mom

I am sorry for what you went through. There are a few people in this forum that no longer have relationships with living parents.
