Have you read all of Dean Koontz? Many of his books are like that. Check out the Watchers-great book. My favorite of his

Watchers is still up there with the best book I have read. I read a lot and very quickly and its amazing how much CRAP is out there! I should read it again. I loved how the dog was(not to give anything away)
