I love having it. I go through phases where I use it a lot and then not for awhile.
For awhile I was in to making skirts. Then I was making curtains, tablecloths, stuff like that.

I have my mom's old one. It's VERY old but it still works. I mostly use it for hemming curtains and stuff like that, though I did make a quilt on it. I haven't figured out how to hem pants yet - which I soo need to do. And I bought a pattern to make pajamas (figured if they came out bad, no one else would really see them) because I'd love to be able to make real things. One of these days...Chat Icon

I have one. I think I've used it maybe...twice?

I bought it because I wanted to make the kids' Halloween costumes a few years ago. I got one costume done and begged my mom (who is a fantastic sewer) to do the other one.

Then I pulled it out again last year and made very simple throw pillows for the kids' beds and valances for my son's room.

Haven't touched it since.Chat Icon

I would love to make a tablecloth. How did you do it? Did you have to seam the fabric together?

I found the best way to get use out of it is to leave it out on a table all the time. When I notice a seam is ripped or my dog has bitten through his toys, I run to the machine and it's ready to use. I know if I had to pull it out of a closet I wouldn't bother.
