I read about 100 pages....I'm a little bored by it. Does it get better?

YES! Definitely keep going. It does have some dry spots but you'll want to keep reading just to get to the good stuff!!

It does get better, but what always got me was that it's written by some man, and I don't think he gets "it"

I liked it, but I thought "Geisha, a life" was by far a better book. Memoirs of a Geisha is historical fiction, so the main character is sort of a composite of different geishas. Geisha: a life is the true story of a woman who was adopted at a very young age by an aging geisha who had no heir to take over the business.

i had to read it for a class....it gets better, but not all that much.....i learned alot about the culture i didn't know though....
