What do you do when you don't like a book?

I used to struggle through books that I hated or was totally not into. I felt guilty stopping reading a book in the middle - like I had wasted my time! Someone once told me how silly it was to continue to waste my time reading something I didn't like - which made perfect sense!
Now, if I don't like a book, I stop reading - even if I've already read 100 pages! I did that with two books the other day!
What about you?

I stick it in my desk draw and read it at lunch. Like "in case of emergency read" type of book.

i really try to get through it...if i can't, i give it to someone i work with...its kind of a reloving library thing we have...it usually works out ok

I just finished a book that was highly recommended by a couple of people and I HATED it.

But for some reason I felt like I HAD to finish it. I've never been so happy to get to the last page ever!! I think it was more because they thought so highly of it and I thought maybe there was something I was missing.

Unfortunately I waste my time and finish it unless its really unbearable!

Usually, I try to get through it. This has happened to me a couple of times and usually if I continue reading, I do wind up liking it. There has been the occasion though where I totally give up.

Just don't finish reading it...and on to the next!

There are some books I just can't get into and if I am not interested by the third or fourth chapter I just put it down. There are too many good books to read so I just pass that book along and move on. A couple of times I read the last few pages to find out the ending.

Most of the time I won't continue reading it -right now I'm trying to get into one and I refuse to put it down!

if i dont like a book in the first few chapters, i'll jump to the end to see how it turns out. if i cant tell by reading the end, i will push through and read it anyway. i just HAVE to know what happens, even if it stinks.

I continue reading..I just can't give up the hope that it could pick up and become reallly good.

I'll stop reading it

I usually will stop reading then pick it up again a few weeks/months/years later. Each time I have done this, I found I liked the book! It is generally just that the beginning was slow so it took me a while to get into it.

I stop reading it and I put it on EBAY ASAP
