A question for my Clomid girls...
Tonight I will take my 5th and final pill of Clomid.
I looked in the mirror today and I swear I look like i'm about 5 months pregnant!!! I havent been eating or drinking anything outside of what I normally have. I havent been having any problems going to the bathroom or anything (sorry TMI). Has this happened to anyone else? I'm guessing it MAY be the CLomid because it is so sudden and my belly is SO big! I swear I could pass for a PG woman right now!! It's freaking me out.

I have heard of Clomid causing weight gain, but I didnt think it would happen right away.

I'm having the same problem. My belly looks about 4 months pregnant.
It's round and bloated and I don't usually carry weight around in my belly.
The only thing I did differently this month was the Clomid.

It definitely causes weight gain. My friend worked for an OB/GYN for 12 years and she said she saw it all the time. And usually right away too. Once you stop it should go away.

Ugh Lauren I know! It's horrible! I feel like I ate a basketball! LOL
Gerty - Thanks for the info! At least I know its the Clomid and not just me gaining weight. I'm off it as of last night so maybe it will go down in a few days.
Lauren, are you still on it?

No - but the doc said almost all the side effects stick with you until you O.
I don't understand that, but apparently it's common to continue to feel bloated and get the hot flashes until after ovulation.

Oh the hot flashes - yes I started getting them Saturday - I forgot to say that. really only happens if Im outside in the heat and I start to get warm. Then the hot flash kicks in and I'm melting!!
If anyone sees a crazy naked lady running around midtown with nothing on but a turtle charm, it's me.
