My SIL wants to goto Disney around thanksgiving. I told my DH I don't want to spend money to fly there. Spend money on a hotel and for park tickets for the park to close at 5pm. Posted 5/13/05 6:26 PM |

I went in one of the LOWEST seasons twice..in January. The parks opened at 9 and closed at 7. Posted 5/13/05 6:44 PM |

Plus I wanted to add there'a huge advantage. When we went in the summer the aprks were open longer, but it was SO hot and the lines were so long we ahd to take a break in the middle of the day and go back to the hotel. When we went in january we were in the parks from 9am-7pm and then usually an evenign show or dinner and we didn't have to take any breaks. The heat makes such a big difference. I went once around the time of Thanksgiving. The week of Thanksgiving, they extend their hours since there's a lot of families who take off the week to go down there. The rest of the time, it's SLOW. If you want to see WDW decorated for Christmas, but want to avoid the crowds. Go between the week after Thanksgiving and the week before Christmas. I was there for New Year's Eve once and it was packed - though very fun! Posted 5/14/05 2:49 AM |
