I combined two chicken recipes from LIW and came up with a very yummy, easy dish!

Generally, how do you make your own sauce? From all the lasagnas I've had, that's what either makes it or not.
Do you use just beef or add sausage with it? Someone once told me to use finely cut up chuck instead of ground meat.
You don't add mozzarella to the ricotta? May I ask why?

I make a similiar chicken recipe with one added ingredient- chopped basil the last five minutes of cooking on top of the tomatos- sooo good! I love chicken breasts and italian dressing.
