Raw nuts - they are high in fat but it is good fat, I work for a nutritionist and i have learned alot form her about what is truly healthy, I am also majoring in nutrition myself. Fruits and veggies (raw carrots, cucumbers, grapes, apples, dried fruits etc!) Hummus w/ "whole" wheat crackers That is my favorite!

I make my own hummus and eat it with everything from celery sticks to spreading it on whole wheat toast. It's the best snack!

I lvoe the bakes chick peas too - I got my recipe from the South Beach Diet cookbook and add my own spices to season.

Also, my sister and I have been doing this for years, but we eat frozen Cool Whip instead of ice cream. It sounds wierd, but it's actually so tasty! There's hardly any fat/calories/sugar, and it's pretty filling too, so you don't need a lot of it. I've sprinkled unsweetened cocoa powder in it to make my own lo-cal mousse - it's delicious, and a perfect summer treat! Chat Icon
