Their are a lot of things that are inexpensive, what do you want to do? Do you want to drive, fly, stay in the state, go out of state? Jetblue has some low fares as well as Song airlines so you can always check them out for flights. San Francisco is a nice little getaway for a few days. As well as a drive to MA to Salem or Martha's vinyard.

If you do a flight, dont fly back on a monday. Everyone flies back on a monday and the airports are crazy.

We're thinking of somewhere in the states, but we'd fly. I'd like it to be romantic and still have things to do. I was thinking Vegas, but was told it wasn't "romantic" enough for a first anniversary. I am open to any suggestions...I'd like to sightsee and also lay on the beach.

I was going to recommend the Grand Canyon, which would be romantic, but no beaches...hmm...

Maybe South Carolina? It's got some sights and some beaches. Here's a link to look at:

vegas definatly not romantic. I just got back from vegas.

Myrtle Beach is a nice little getaway. South Padre Island I hear is really good but I hear it mostly from Spring Breakers so off season I have no clue what goes on there.

We just booked our 1 year anniversary trip - we got a great fare on JetBlue to Florida - Ft. Myers. We're staying on Marco Island. We looked into a few other places, but Flordia turned out to be the best value.
Good luck!

Marco Island is AWESOME!!!

Hubby works in Fort Myers and our days off together are Sundays and Mondays and we go to Sanibel and Captiva all the time. Unfortunatly Captiva was hit really bad by the hurricane.

Marco Island is so relaxing. The beach is unbelievable. Chat Icon

Have a great time in Marco Island

Thanks! This is our first time in the area, so we're really excited. And we got such a good deal!

What about....

San Diego
Hilton Head
South Beach
Key West (there's really not too much to do here but it's just a beautiful place to visit)
