I would start in London, then Vienna and Amsterdam

ETA: I need a month for Italy...toomuch to see there.

but if I were there the first week in October...I would definitely check out Munich and the Oktoberfest!!!

If you want to see the biggest party of all time..You can go to Munich Germany and go to Oktoberfest.
I did it once when I was younger, craziest experience of my life

Viva Italia! This was my two week itinerary:

Montelpulciano, Tuscany (while there made day trips to Florence, Siena, Pisa, etc.)

Cinque Terre (MUST SEE)

Cernobbio (while there visited entire lake region and made a day trip to Lugano, Switzerland which was beautiful and only a ten minute drive)

Venice

Rome (only spent a day there which was fine by me -- I'm more of a countryside girl)

Paris, France

Tuscany and Cinque Terre were my favorites. The lake region was also breathtaking. We wanted to make the most of our European vacation and see alot bc we didn't know when or if we'd ever make it back. We didn't feel like it was too rushed at all and loved that we got to see so much of it. I also recommend going to the countryside and visiting the touristy places as day trips like we did. You get to experience the real Italy that way IMO.

Munich, Germany is such a great city - there is so much to see (regardless of whether you're there for Oktoberfest or not - the Hofbrahaus is a blast!!) - and the surrounding areas are amazing...we drove through the Alps, visited the castle Neuschwanstein (sp???) and Dachau.

Greece - Santorini was absolutely breathtaking...I've been told that October is a fantastic time to visit - weather is still warm enough to go swimming and the tourists have left. We went in September and hated having to leave.

I would visit the Amalfi coast in Italy...Vienna, Prague and Ireland in a heartbeat.

I still say Spain....and Portugal, or maybe Italy.... it will be much warmer and less rainy than France, Germany, and all points north. Nice to get in some warm weather before our winter hits, and there is sooooo much to see and do!! Also your buck goes a little further than points noth... From Spain hop over to Morocco....

I will be in Germany then ..... and I KNOW it will be rainy and cold the whole time!

Barcelona! Maybe one week in the barcelona area and one week in madrid

Italy! We are taking a 2 week trip to Italy this June!!
