I love the Peter Kaiser ones...

I also have to say that on black boots I love the look of pointed toe -- just personally -- I think it looks awesome with pointed toes! Or very squared off toes too!

i have 2 pairs of mid-calf heels boots (nine west) but prefer the high boots. i definitely get a lot more use out of the high boots.

here is a pair from nine west. may not be as high as you want though.
