you could hear or feel or have or whatever from your mom or dad what would it be?

My one thing would be to hear mom laugh again. It was contagious her laugh. Chat Icon

I guess I'm starting to lose the memory of how it sounded and its making me nervous.

I would just want her to meet my son if only for a minute- just to see the love in her eyes that I know she would of had for him. She always talked of being a grandma but never got too Chat Icon

I cannot pick one either - I am just so lucky my mother was at my wedding.

I would love to hear both of my parents voices....It has been so long since I heard my mother voice...and it has only been a week since I heard myfathers voice....But it feels like an eternity.

The last thing my dad said to me was - After I put my arm around him to hug him....He grabbed my arm - pulled it to his lips...Kissed my arm and said he loved me very much.

So many things, I agree, every moment.... but for me I want to hear her voice for the first time. I want to meet her. I have no memory of her to go on to help me heal.
Try to exercise your memory and hear her voice as often as you can so you don't lose that. It must be a very special (but heartbreaking) thing to be able to replay her kind words, or her laughter.

I agree there are so many things. I have to agree with someone else on here. My mom had such an infectious laugh. I would give anything to hear it again.Chat Icon

That is exactly what I thought of the other day!!! Just a hug from her would be so amazing.Chat Icon
I have had at least one dream where I hugged her, and I woke up feeling so warm and comforted! I wish all the time, that I could have more of those type of dreams.

My mom had such a contagious laugh too. I miss many things, but probably most of all her support and friendship.
My DH is such a wonderful source for this but there is nothing like "motherly advice." I ofen feel lost without her advice and opinions on things.

There are sooo many things I'd love to have with my Mom, but all in all....I'd just love to be held by her again.

It is so hard to pick just one but i would love one more hug or one of his phone calls where he would tell me how proud he was of me and how much he loved me. I would give the world for either one. Chat Icon

WOW....I've been reading this thread over and over for 3 days now....there is so many things I could think of that I would want to hear for either of my parents. They died within less than a year of each other.

I would love to hear her tell me about how my sisters and I were as babies and any advice she could give me. I have felt so lost this past year taking care of my daughter and I constantly think about what she may have done in similar situations. (My Dad is in his own little world and remembers nothing of our childhood)

Aside from that I would love to just see her, touch her, smell her, hug her...anything. She passed 18 years ago when I was 13 so my memories are few and fading Chat Icon
