Susan

I was planning to get my canalization surgery this month, but I had to get it on CD10, and I was in CA. When I returned from CA, I had a stack of bills for all of the infertility treatments I've been getting, which means DH's insurance is not covering a penny. We realized that we really can't pay for the surgery out of pocket, so we decided to wait until my insurance kicks in. I just started a new job, so I figured it would take a few weeks, and I'd get the surgery in August, but I just found out it is going to take THREE MONTHS! On top of that, I can't even find out what my insurance covers until that three month marker. I tried to go on the 'intranet' to find out, but the details aren't listed -- you need your healthcare number, which I won't have until I am a member! It's so frustrating. If I wait that three month pd only to find out that my insurance doesn't cover it either, I'll die. Another rough part is I really don't want to take time off of work for surgery right away (I start tomorrow), so right now I'm just in an annoying waiting period. Adoption sounds better to me every day. Chat Icon

There has to be a way you can find out what your coverage will be!!!!

As for me I am 10dpo after my second round of IUI's. Haven't started POAS yet but I will anyday now I'm sure.

Thanks for this thread. It has been quiet here lately and this is one of the things to help pass the time in the dreaded 2WW.

Oh Susan call the 800 # on the back of your insurance card and find out. Also, if you give your RE your insurance info THEY will go and find out what is covers. RSofNY did this for me, it was way easier than calling the company myself.

I agree girls, this wk end the board have been slooooow.

I'm still in my 2ww. I'm 6 or 7 dpo. I think Im 6dpo. No news to report really, just feeling PMSy so time will tell!

Well...let's see....I have been to the RE for the last 4 days straight for ultrasounds....they can't seem to see my ovaries or follicles. They had taken blood tests for the last 4 days and my estrogen levels are saying that I should ovulate soon...but since they can't measure the follies, they can't tell. So...I'm supposed to take my Ovidrell tonight...and then go for IUI tomorrow and Tuesday. They think between the trigger and my levels, I will either ovulate on my own, or the trigger shot will do it. Then...I got for a blood test next Sunday to see if I actually did ovulate.

This is my 3rd cycle of IUI and so far, it's been the most emotional (since the doctor keeps telling me he doesn't know what to do because he can't see anything). Oh well...only time will tell.

Kim- hang in there! Sorry to hear all the frustration this cycle is causing!!

Susan- what insurance company will you have and do you know whattype of plan, like PPO, EPO or Hmo? Since I work in insurance, I have a lot of access to the companies plans? Maybe I can find out what type of coverage you WILL have.
Sorry for the delay this will cause you Chat Icon

Kim- what are your E2 levels at?

Paulin Damn! I can't believe you have not tested yet!! You have much more will power than me.

As for me, after 4 or 5 days of spotting AF fianlly showed today. We will be doing another IUI cycle with injectables and clomid as well as adding in acupuncture.

Can you believe that? One month ago I was PETRIFIED of needles, now I am going to get acupuncture! Amasing how fast my world is changing.

Donna -- How exciting that you will likely be starting IUI soon. That's definitely something to look forward to! I'll keep my fingers crossed for your hubbie's SA. I hope everything turns out ok so you can get started on the fast track ASAP. I will FM you my company info to see if you can help. TIA! Chat Icon

Kathy -- Sorry to hear you're feeling PMS'y but hey, you never know. Lots of pg symptoms are the same as PMS as you know! To answer your question, I don't have an insurance card bc I'm not a member yet, that's the problem. I started asking a million healthcare questions last week (on my training day), and they started to get suspicious bc I sounded like a maniac. (What do you mean it takes three months? Is there any way I can get access to the plan's details so I can see what's covered? I didn't stop there.) They said to just be patient and I'd get the packet in the mail along with my card in a little over three months. Grrrreat! Chat Icon I talked with others that have my same insurance, but it's for a different company, so it really means nothing. I'll call HR once I'm more comfortable there. I wish it wasn't Cubicle Land.

Kim - Sorry to hear this cycle is so annoying for you. I really hope they figure out what's going on with you so that you can start having some success with your IUIs. Chat Icon

BABY DUST to EVERYONE, and YES -- let's keep this board going -- I really don't want to see it die off. It's my saving grace.

ETA: Deb -- ACUPUNCTURE?!? Great! GL with that, and congrats on getting over your fears!!! And Pauline -- GL on this Month!! Hope it's the ONE for you! Be sure to update us right after you POAS!!

Susan- what is canalization?

Susan- what is canalization?

Passing a wire through my tubes to try to unblock them. Both are blocked. Many places try to convince you to NOT do this surgery bc you risk having an ectopic and/or creating more scar tissue, but it's worth it to me to try. The success rates are pretty high when the blockage is close to your uterus, which they believe mine is. If the surgery is successful, I will try to conceive naturally for 6 mos, at which point they'll likely close up again and we'll either adopt or start IVF.

Deb-a friend of mine ( the one I have mentioned to you before) is trying acupuncture for her infertility this month too. GOOD LUCK with it, I have heard good things!!!

Sorry AF showed Chat Icon Hopefully next cycle is better for you!!

As for me I will do a gadzillion IUI's if I am not lucky with them because I have no IVF coverage!!

Susan- I FM'd you back....

I WISH I would O!!! Chat Icon Again I feel like I missed it. I need better opk's. I dont like the internet ones no more. Need to go get some Answer ones, did well with those. Todays CD15 and I usually get a + by now, todays was very faint. The latest I have O'd was CD18 with a + OPK on Day 16 so maybe its late this month!

We are still playing the waiting game basically. Still no af after 7 months and no signs of her really either. My sonogram came back "negative" and normal...but that was only an external one so we shall see if the internals show something different.

I am waiting for my appointment on the 9th now and thats just about it. I still have tried to see if I was by some chance ovulating but no such luck. Chat Icon Hey its worth a shot..stranger things have been known to happen! LOL

Baby dust to you all! Chat Icon

no updates here..I have an appointment with an RE on Tuesday.....I am now in the 2ww

My update is non-existent...
I am on BCP's to "dissolve" the many eggs I was making from the Bravelle and am finally getting no cramps. The last five days have been nothing but really bad O type cramps. When I get AF in a couple of weeks, I go back to the RE to figure out what they are going to do.
I'm sure I will let you all know when something happens.

officially in my 2ww now.

I am in the 2ww -- CD18, 10 DPO.

I kind of want to test - bought the EPT at Target this weekend - but on the other hand, want to wait until I am at LEAST late, if not until after the cruise altogether....which would be Aug. 9, 32 days after AF.

I was hungry like a bear yesterday, like I never have felt before except once when I was pg.....is that a good sign?

What to do what to do.....

I am thinking of all of you and your respective situations, and of course praying for some good news on this board!! I love you all and enjoy having you here to vent with but I want the majority (actually ALL) of you to graduate off this board, once and for all!!

As for me.. my 'update' is also pretty non-existant. I am obviously not ovulating, I am having another LONG cycle (going into CD44) and of course, I got only BFNs when I tested.

I have since given up on testing since I'm fairly certain there is no way I could be PG anyhow. I'm just hoping to get AF soon so I can move forward ... and I think I am going to have to finally make the appointment with the RE once and for all, since I cannot endure these long irregularities in my cycles for much longer Chat Icon

SO may I ask that in my case (and my case only) that you help me do the "BRING IT ON, AF TANGO" for me at this point Chat Icon
