Sooooo, I went to the doc this morning and apparently the Bravelle worked a little too well. There were so many maturing eggs that they decided to cancel this cycle. They put me on BCP's for two weeks and told me I CAN'T have unprotected sex. There is too high a risk of multiples Posted 7/20/05 12:46 AM |

Oh no, I know its frustrating! That really stinks!! I for one don't understand how our bodies can make not enough of something...and then too much of something. Posted 7/20/05 9:27 AM |

I would have bawled too, even if I wasn't on meds. I'm so sorry you have to go through this. I hope they regulate your meds just perfectly so that next month will be THE month for you. Posted 7/20/05 11:48 AM |

Im so sorry. Im also taking Bravelle, and they increased my dose, and finding more side effects. The worst are the headaches. Posted 7/20/05 12:33 PM |

Okay...today was much better, it helped that we went to contract on a house! Finally!! As far as trying anyway, they pretty much felt that wasn't an option. Originally, that was my opinion too...just do it anyway. Unless I was willing to "get rid" of any more than two embryo's. And that is something I could never do. First of all, how could I do that after TTC'ing for so long and secondly, I couldn't do it for moral/ethical/religous reasons. By the way, they weren't talking triplets, they are talking quads or quints and the dr. said that the reason they avoid that many is because of the high risk factor for the babies and that the mother is usually put on bed rest for almost the whole nine months. He basically said there are major health reasons why they won't do the IUI whan there are that many eggs. Posted 7/20/05 11:19 PM |
