Good idea...
I dont know much since I have not had my first appointment yet...but Im seeing Dr. Mary Bray at RSONY in Mineola Next Thursday. I have two friends who use them ( Kathy being one ) and another friend who is a "graduate " from there , so the facility itself it great.

I hope the Dr is too, Kathy says see is and she has lots of experience...so I will edit post after my visit Chat Icon

I have been really happy with RSoNY. Sometimes the wait is really long, but I accept as consequence to the unpredictable nature of our ovaries.

If you go very early in the morning...I used to try to get the first appt. It's mostly first come first serve. If you are there for bloodwork.....your wait won't be too long. If you are there for u/s.....then the wait can be. Since you usually have to meet with a doctor after....(that's where the waiting comes in).

I like Dr. Bray very much. I checked her credentials before I went for my appt and I'm confident that she is completely qualified to help me. On a personal level, I like her very much. She has been patient and kind and helpful.

If there comes a point in time for any reason whatsoever that I do not feel completely comfortable or happy with her, I will choose to see another doctor.

That being said, I am very happy with her.
She has been aggressive, proactive and has moved me right along...to my IUI. Im grateful for her help thus far, very grateful.

Kathy

I am also using RSONY, but my Dr. is SanRoman...whom I like a lot. I haven't seen him every time I've gone in though, usually another Dr. or a PA talks to me about the test results.
As far as waiting time goes, I try to get in by 7:15 a.m. and am usually out by 8 a.m. and that is with blood, sono and Dr., so that's not too bad. I always ask for early appointments, this way my day is still available.

I am sure Kathy will tell you she got lucky and they were really accomodating which impressed me that they understand that sort of "urgency". But I was there at least an hour before her and left 10-15 minutes after. It really depends on the day, but yes waiting to see the MD does make the wait longer. I am usually finished with blood and sono in 15minutes.

Ive had to wait for Dr Bray but not more than a few minutes. Whats nice is that I see HER everytime I go, Im not shuffled around to different people all the time. I like that I see her each time. I dont think Ive been in there longer than an hour at any time. Last appt I was running late and was in, blood done, sono done and out in 30 mins.

Although I am not pursuing treatments anymore, I used to go to RSofNY and I thought they were wonderful. I was out of the Stony Brook office and I think I have met with every doctor at that office. All very helpful, considerate and honest (which is think is most important). The staff there is awesome as well.

Good luck to all!
