DH lost his mom( she was 54) when he was 24 in 1999 Fathers day weekend. He came home and found her at the bottom of the stairs, she had fallen and the blow to her head caused a stroke. When I met DH in 2001 the anger he had was so intense I wasnt sure I could handle it, but I hung in there and grew with him and I have come to understand truly what it means to lose a parent.

I can totally emphasize as my DH was in your shoes years ago. My mom died two weeks after I met my husband. The grief was so intense that I was horribly angry and bitter. I was so incredibly hard to be around and sometimes didn't know how much longer he would be able to put up with me.

Much kudos to you as well as it can be incredibly hard for the significant other as the pain is so great.Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
