Not sure where to post this...

I feel so sad for my mom. My dad passed away about 5 yrs ago.. Recently she has tried to get back into the dating scene. She has tried online dating, set-ups, and just casually meeting pple. She will go to singles nites just to meet new friends male or female.. Well tonite she went to a friends anniversary party and she was literally the only single person there. She came home soooo upset. I kno dating suckas in general, so to be 49 and "back on the market" cant be easy, and I would do anything if only i could make her happy. it made ME said to see her soo sad to be the only person not in a couple in that room, she often feels lonely and left out and I kno there is nothing I can do to help.. Plus she does try to go out and meet men, and she hangs out with her gf's when she can so i cant even say shes not trying I wish there was something I could do, she is truly the most amazing mom/friend/woman I kno and it breaks my heart to see her soo sad.. I am not sure if this forum is appropriate, since I lost my dad and not my mom..but losing a parent changed my entire families life and I think we are all in places we never imagined by loosing such a good hearted man. So if its reverse for you all.. And ur dads are now single..how have u delt with ur parents sadness?

I give her so much credit that she is out there!

my mom sits at home with my dog..and since Im getting married next year and moving out, she is upset im taking my dog.

your mom will meet someone, and even if she doesnt its great that she is going out looking.
