A coworker once brought in a round bread that was hollowed out with some kind of spinach dip inside.

Does anyone know a specific recipe for this?

Its so easy and such a hit!!!!!!!!

1 envelope Lipton ® Recipe Secrets ® Vegetable Soup Mix
1 container (8 oz.) sour cream
1 cup Hellmann's ® or Best Foods ® Real Mayonnaise
1 package (10 oz.) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
1 can (8 oz.) water chestnuts, drained and chopped (optional)

1. In medium bowl, combine all ingredients; chill 2 hours.

2. Serve with your favorite dippers.

TO make the bread bowl..use any round bread (I usually use a sourdough) Cut a circle in the top (like carving a pumpkin) and then use your hands to pul out all the bread inside...you can use that for dipping,(break into small pieces) or cut up other bread or veggies...

hee hee - thats my recipe too..except i use pumpernickel! you might have to buy two loaves, one for the acutally bowl and then chop up the hollowed out piece, and one loaf for extra dipping!

there is a recipe for this on the lipton vegetable soup mix box, it's either the regular vegetable mix, or the summer vegetable soup mix, the yellow box-it's sooo good, I usually make it, and use hollowed out marble rye, and then an extra loaf.....
