As some of you know I was not feeling well May 25th in the morning so my dr.'s office called me in even though the dr. was not in just to take my pressure. Well, I went in (thank goodness DH was working on the island) my pressure was really high and I was having some contractions. The nurse called the Dr. and let him now and he suggested that I go to the hospital to get monitored.
Well, we get to the hospital and they start admitting me and telling me that my c-section would be at 6pm. What!!!!!! I had no idea they were doing it that day. No one told me. It turns out that my Dr. was getting too worried and wanted to take the baby out soon. Then I was hooked up to a monitor and my contractions started coming every 3 mins. They then moved up my c-section to 3:30pm. It was now almost 2pm. I panicked. Nothing was ready, we didn't have my bag, and my parents still had to come in from Sayville. I was so nervous and scared.
Well, my parents made it and DH had time to run home and get things in order.
I had the c-section and baby Andrew was born at 4:09 pm. When I went into recovery that is when DH told me that the baby had to go right to NICU. He was hyperglycemic and had swallowed fluid. It was awful He was hooked up to oxygen and had a tube down his throat with all these IV's
Well, he got better and the day before I was going to leave a nurse knocked on the door as we were getting ready to go to NICU and they said they had a surprise. It was Andrew. He was out of NICU and in the "well' nursery
We were so excited My mom was on here way and when she walked in the room she was crying hysterical. He got to come home with me and he is doing very well. They are just monitoring his Jaundice because he is borderline. I have to put him in sunlight as often as possible.
Sorry for the long story
Girls having c-sections: It is not bad at all. It is day 8 for me and I have been feeling good since day 5. Any questions about the c-section FM me
