I'm sure when the baby comes it will be easy to get caught up in him that we forget about us. So I'm just curious to know what BTDT parents do to nuture the relationship.

What do you guys do to keep the spark in your relationships? Please share any tips, advice, experiences

The same for us! After you have kids going to the supermarket just with your hubby is a treat!Chat Icon I also have a fantastic mother-in-law whos is always begging us to take the kids so we try to get as much time together as possible.

oh no... BJ's is seriously the highlight of my weekend when DH and I go, and we only have a puppy now! Chat Icon I do notice that our relationship has gotten a little better since we got the dog though. Having both of us equally responsible for taking care of a little dog has actually strengthened our relationship, and I feel like we talk about things that in the past we might have just ignored. I also feel like more of an effort is made to enjoy our alone time - it's a rare thing nowadays and I think before it was something we took for granted. Is that wierd?

ETA - for bad spelling!

We've been together for 15 years, so we have a lot of history together. We laugh ALOT!!! Kiss eachother goodbye every day, hug a lot (especially in front of the kids, they love to see us so mushy together), and we ALWAYS say I Love You!

Well after about a month we went out on a date we had Fh sister watch the baby and we went out to dinner and a movie. We would go places like to the mall the three of us and do some shopping and things like that

I totally agree Helena. I also agree with the other posters when they try to incorporate regular day to day activities into "quality time" with their spouse. Whoever knew time management would have so much meaningChat Icon
