Mini-mid-week vaca - w/in 4 hours of Long Island?

I am trying to get DH to take a day off so we can go away for a few days, his has mid-week off.

Any ideas with in a few hours of long island?

Mid week is nice sine the prices are lower...
It depends on what you're looking for.

I know Atlantic City mid week prices are very cheap, and you get the beach & gambling/nightlife.

I'm also a big fan of Philadephia since it's a great city with lots of history and alot to see.

But again it depends on what type of vacation you're looking for.

Mystic, CT/Foxwoods
There's an all inclusive resort in PA called Split Rock Resort that I want to go one day.

And I just came across this one last week that looks really nice...

DH and I went to Mystic, CT in December for a long weekend and had a really good time. Lots of cute stores, good restaurants, and interesting places to visit. I bet it's even nicer in the warmer months!
We stayed at The Steamboat Inn and were very pleased.

i mjust posted about this in another post but maybe you want to look into it, they alays have specials and my friend and her husband loved it!
