DebG	Remember how excited I was when that first flower bloomed! In that thread a few people asked for follow up pictures when there were more flowers in bloom...well there are now more flowers in bloom. Right now about 1/3 of the buds have flowered. I am also very excited today because my first bird of paradise flower bloomed enough for me to cut and put in a vase. My goodness! May has GOT to be my favorite time of year. Posted 5/12/05 8:06 AM

DebG	Red it does smell wonderful! Sitting outside, drinking iced tea...watching the sunset while smelling the gardenia's....I honestly don't know if life gets better than that. Cheesy, yes I know! Posted 5/12/05 8:33 AM

Its one thing I can't do...I still ask for iced tea in resteraunts and sometimes I get the oddest looks when the waiter/waitress does not know what I am talking about. eta Darren always has to say "sweet tea" cause then I look at them like they don't know what they are doing and we just sit staring at each other for ten-30 seconds. DebG	In a few weeks when the birds of paradise are in full bloom I will post some of those as well. This morning after taking this picture, i went and cut 35 off and gave one to each member of my department. Our whole floor smells like these flowers and I am in heaven!! Posted 5/12/05 11:47 AM
