i would hope not since the Mets lost (a much more crushing defeat) too... Would look a little stupid to do it now!

Actually no because we called a truce. My brother did apologize to DH for getting in his face the way he did. He said he was having a bad day that day and took it out on the wrong person. DH explained that whatever he says to him about the yankees is never meant in a taunting way. So no I didn't give him hell...

Well red after the way my brother acted I told him that no matter how bad the mets loose I will be on him for every single game that the yankees loose since they are so much better and should win every game they play...but we called a truce...so all is well

a defeat is a DEFEAT...especially if it is 8-4

Then can we call yesterday's yankees loss a "crushing defeat" as well

a loss is a loss right...Chat Icon

QuoteTheRaven424

right it is a loss

but philly is a great team, so i don't think crushing is applicable

a loss to the milwaukee brewers or the mariners is a crushing defeat

but you're right a defeat is a defeat

just challenging your use of adjective

depends on how you define the word crushing

i look at the caliber of the team, not the score

lolol...i highly doubt there will be a sweep.

And the Yanks are doing better than the mets so if there is a sweep...it MOST DEFINITELY will be crushing

if we get swept by you, it wouldn't be crushing IMO

we **** right now, you should beat us

and the matchups are ones you should win

friday, martinez - -he can't pitch in yankee stadium

saturday, glavine -- S****

sunday, benson, this is the only game where we have a shot, but it can go either way
