Here's the idea! It's to have fun (like an expanded word association) and as a community we can write books for our children. If they get to the point (not the intended idea of what this is about) where they can be sold it is our desire to have all the proceeds go to charity! Why should anyone profit from our children? Couldn't someone take the idea from the site and try to sell it as their own? What are the leagalities to it all? Posted 4/19/06 10:10 AM |

Great question. But in general, I'm up for trying it!

Great question! ETA: Are you looking for "stories" about what our kids do? Message edited 4/19/2006 10:12:46 AM. Posted 4/19/06 10:11 AM |

People can do that with just about anything that is why you copyright published works. Posted 4/19/06 10:13 AM |

so will it be copyrighted as each person adds on or just the final result? Posted 4/19/06 10:14 AM |

You can add anything you like to the story. As an example lets say we started a book called Animal Farm and the book is for toddlers. The book would be extremely simple. So a page would be dedicated to a specific animal and maybe something about it. Example: This is a chicken. She lays eggs that mommy cooks for breakfast. The chicken sounds like this.......... Get the idea? Posted 4/19/06 10:16 AM |

Exactly! A way for who ever wants to get involved to do so for the sake of educating our children without everything blowing up etc and if we ever decide to do anything with the finished product charity will benefit. We were thinking of donating to child cancer. A worthy cause I'm sure you'll agree! Posted 4/19/06 10:21 AM |

I love the idea....I'm always making up little stories about objects and animals..so that James can understand not just what the object or animal is...but what their purpose is. Posted 4/19/06 10:23 AM |
