AFP test....

How many of you took it, or are going to take it?

I took it yesterday. I was not going to, but changed my mind. Unless it shows i am at high risk for spina bifda, I will not go get the amnio done.

SInce I am having identical twins, whatever one has, the other has so I am just going to pray this whole week that the results come back okay.

I took it. I'm over 35 so I was able to rule out the need for an amnio with the results.

Ali - just want to let you know that not all things are exact in identical twins. So if one has something it is not definite that both will. One of my boys has a pulmonary stenosis, and the other one's heart is perfect. Don't worry though, I am sure your boys are perfect!!

Diane - is this the one they give you the sonogram and the blood test?? One test I didn't take, but I am not sure which one it was. The one I ddin't take was the second test because I heard there was a false rate of positives with twins, so my Drs said it was not necessary for me to have it done.
