Are you going to put both in one crib in the beginning, or separate?

I purchased two cribs, but figured I would let them decide what they wanted. I knew shortly after getting the cribs that one would be in the hospital for about a week since he needed a procedure on his heart done, so we were not sure if they would be okay apart. It wound up that one was in the NICU for 1 week as planned, and the other one was in for a month. They were apart for a month so we kept that that way.

I am still buying 2 separate cribs, but was just wondering if I should put them in separate ones right from the start?

I want to do this, but just afraid that it wont be a good transition, like they will be upset if I separate them.

My plan is to buy two bassinets and keep them seperate the first few weeks and then put them in the same crib for a bit afterwards, but i will be getting 2 cribs.

I know someone that put one crib in their room, and put both babies in the one crib, in the beginning instead of getting bassinetts.

Also they have this thing that seperates the crib into two sections.

From what I heard it really depends on the children and how they want to sleep, some will sleep better being next to their twin, and some will sleep better in their own crib.

My boys were used to being away from me, and used to being seperated so this made the most sense for us, but for others it would not have worked.

My girls are in the same crib. I will be getting another crib this month. For the first 5 months or so they don't move much so it's not a problem.

Mine were in the same bassinett for a while - when they out grew it, then we got another bassinett, we had one on each side of the bed. (which worked out great for me!) Now they are in their room and they each have their own crib.
