karacg	Sorry to barge in here. I was just wondering of the people with multiples, did you conceive naturally or with help? I was pg. last March with twins but unfortunately miscarried both. We are now moving on to IVF. I would love twins.... Posted 3/31/06 3:11 PM

FYI - Identical twins are usually conceived naturally and there is no medical studies showing that if they run in your family you are more likely to have them. My doctor more or less explained it to me as a "genetic mutation" that medical science is unsure why it happens. It stays pretty constant of occurring in about 4 of 1000 births. Fraternal twins are the ones that can result from fertility means or naturally. They also are the twins that you might have a better chance of getting if they run in your family. I think it runs somewhere like 1 in 40 births today. Posted 3/31/06 9:23 PM
