It seems as if no matter who we tell that we are having twins, they have such a negative comment....
Oh God help you!

I try to answer with comments such as .... we are doubly blessed...and yes, I guess it is better us than you!
DH & I tried for over a year to get pregnant and we could not be more thrilled when we heard we were blessed with two babies --- Why can't people keep their negativity to themselves?

People think they are so witty saying these comments. No, they don't stop. SORRY! From about 6 months till they were born I had people assume that I was "Just about ready to give birth" & then say "Oh, God please tell me your having twins" (I was HUGE!) But, what if it was in fact one baby. They should really think when they speak!

It never ends. People are so rude it is unbelievable. When we told everyone it was 2 boys, the comments started about, don't worry we can still try again for a girl. UMMM why is it that my boys are not good enough. That comment really bugged me, people acterd like we should be upset it was not one of each.
My favorites too were when they asked how I was doing and I was having some issues, or I would be talking about some of my fears people would be like, Oh I always wanted twins, like a twin pregnancy was all fun and games, and cute matching outfits.
I was so terrified by the time I was ready to give birth that I was not going to be able to ahndle it, and that my DH and I were going to not be up to the job because of all of the negativity.

I get this all the time from co-workers.
I get GoD Bless You, and I say..."Yes, God DID Bless me"
I also get better you than me...and I said to her, yep...Im glad its ME and NOT YOU.
I cants stand it anymore, and these are from people who know how hard it was for me to get PG

I think I'd make a killing if I marketed shirts that said "Just because I'm pregnant doesn't mean I need to hear your opinion!"

It was the same with DW and I. You have to learn to ignore them all, because the comments just keep on going. Our little ones will be a year old in a couple of weeks.

What's funny is that I have 2 siblings each with twins (one set are adults now and thew other are pre-school age), and all they ever do is complain about how tough it is but how much more love they get from 2 kids.
But honestly, they are truly happy and blessed and I love those kids to death. I just think no matter how good you have it people will complain or make comments.
The people making bad remarks are just jealous!
Just from an observation standpoint, the first year is more difficult but once they start playing independently of you it is actually easier because they have each other! And be careful for their speech development because they develop their own language. It's really interesting to hear them talk...

Get used to it cuz they probably will never end. I get really annoyed sometimes with the negative people that now I think it shows with my attitude back.
BUT, I have to say, now that they are here, I get more nice comments than negative ones. I always feel like I am a celebrity when I am out with them, people always want to see twins!

I know when someone tells me that are preggo with twins im like WOWWWWWW  HOW AWESOME !! YOURE SO LUCKY !!!!!!!
and double the blessing it is !!!!!!!!
When I tell people that my boys are 17m apart, they always say "ugh that must be like having TWINS !!!!!!!!! "
and then that Im preggo w # 3, another boy !! those comments get even better !
I cant wait to be a little league mommy!
