car seat question........

Should we get 4 cars seats for both our cars in case we decide to take my car, sor should we buy just the bases, and just alteranate if we have to?

Are you talking about the carriers?

You only need 2, since they come in and out fo the car with you, so they will be where the babies are. We bought two additional bases, so that we could but bases in my car and DH's car.

When you get the bigger car seats you should get 4 unless you enver use one car. My DH is hopme with the boys fro most of the day, and I will be bringin them to da care and him picking them up, so we will need 4 of the bigger ones.

At the start, we had two carriers and four bases. The carriers would go with the kids. My wife always had two bases in her truck. I would put the two bases in my car if I were taking them somewhere. (Kudos to Debbie for letting us borrow two bases).

Now that they are 11.5 months, we have four seats. Two always in DW truck. The other two we pop in my car if I take them around town.

we started with 2 seats and 2 bases. I wanted to see if I felt the need for the extra bases. The truth is is that we never felt the need. If the boys were comming with, we took my car. If I wanted to go somewhere alone (rare but happens ) I took DH's car. I would wait and see if you think you need them...you can always get them later. Extra bases are good for grandparents though! food for thought...
