and I love talking to them about all of their planning and such but I almost feel a little jealous.

The feeling I had when dh proposed to me was a feeling I have never felt before and will never feel again. Even the wedding was more of a spiritual day, whereas the proposal was more of an excited feeling.

Anyone know what I mean? I see the excitement in their eyes and it brings me back to my day and I would love that feeling again.

I'm kind of the opposite. One of my friends just got engaged, and while I'm looking forward to being a part of her wedding (I'm a BM) I'm eternally grateful that my wedding planning is over. The night DH proposed was one of the best nights of my life. Our wedding was beautiful. But we had a lot of family drama in between the proposal and the I-do's, and it's just now calming down.

The night he proposed was the first amazing, life-changing day in a series of amazing, life-changing days. I know it sounds cheesy, but I still feel like "the best is yet to come."

I agree with not wanting to plan all over again. I just miss the day of the proposal and the feeling you had at that moment. But I do agree that the best is yet to come, I guess I am just ready for that next great thing lol

I tell my DH all the time that I want to get engaged (again -- to him)! That was forever ago now! I certainly don't miss wedding planning though.

A friend of mine is getting married this year. She doesn't seem so into the wedding planning as I was. Plus I'm a little ticked off with her so I could careless reallyChat Icon
