Intro Thread...

Hi! My name is Melissa and DH is Paul. We were married in October 2008. I've been lurking on this site for awhile because I have some friends on here, but I have finally decided to join and post!

I am a speech therapist and DH is a deli manager. We are going to try and enjoy our first year or so of marriage alone and hopefully start trying for children next spring/summer and once finances are in order and we have a house, or whatever comes first!

My name is Dani and DH is Monty. We currently live in Philly but we are both from NY and were married on LI. I'm a service coordinator for Early Intervention in PA and he is a Naval Contractor. I am the proud stepmother of an amazing child who lives w/ her BM in NC. We aren't ready for children together and are uncertain if we ever will be. Why? Because I'm selfish with my time and energy. I'm very free spirited and enjoy picking up and going when I like...However, every now and then I feel a tinge of the fever...

Hello. I'm Danielle and DH is Tim. We just got married 1-3-09. Tim and I have been together since 05 and everything is fabulous.

We recently adopted a cat. Her name is Annie and she's the love of our lives.

I work as a Clerk for Stony Brook Hospital and Tim is a Personal Banker. I go to school at night so I can finish up my Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.

We currently have no plans to have a family.

Hi, all! I am Maria and I am 42. My husband Andrew is 35. We got married when I was 39 and immediately tried for a child but went on to find out I have a chromosomal abnormality (balanced translocation) which is causing me difficulty in conceiving and holding a pregnancy. I had 2 tries with fertility drugs and produced no follicles so my ivf cycles were cancelled and as of now we are childless and more than likely we wil stay that way and get more dogs. :) We are considering donor egg, but it is a huge MAYBE.
We love dogs and are owned by a beautiful brindle Bullmastiff with whom we are in love with. He is my baby.

My husband also loves Harley's, he has 3 bikes he is working on. I love to crochet, I love going to concerts, movies and out to eat. We love the NY Yankees. I was born and raised in the Bronx but moved to Suffolk in 2006 as my DH and I bought his childhood home.

He is an ironworker (lather) WITH Local 46 and I am a licensed sales producer with Allstate.

I'm Marni, dh is Billy (nickname BillyMush cause he's a big mush; ie Mushesgirl). I'm 34, he's 41. Happilly married since 6/29/07, together since 01. Childfree by choice, we love our freedom and our furry son Henry who is a dwarf bunny that I actually found on Henry Street in Brooklyn!! He's our joy, so glad he 'hopped' into our lives.

We live in Rockaway Beach, Qns. I'm a physical therapist and dh is a union carpenter (yes he's a lucky sob, and I have a patient for life lol!).
We love love love to travel. I do crosstitch, i'm constantly with my nose in a novel, we're beachbums in the summer, and dh is an avid fisherman.

I'm Diane and my DH is Mike. I'm a Software Engineer and my DH is an LVT.

We got married on 10/13/07.

We are now in our 50's and won't be having any children.

But...we have lots of children with paws. We've rescued all of them.

A few of them know when my DH or I have had a bad day. They come over to us and want to "snuzzle"....and before you know it, you're feeling a little better...at least for the moment.

I am Kara & DH is Dean. We are 35 & 45 respectively. We have both always known we didn't want children. Since I was young I always knew I didn’t want any children. I am a tax accountant and he is a SCUBA diving instructor. He & his father own a swimming school & dive center (they are vendors on here ) We have 4 cats, recently adopting a special needs kitty. We live in Suffolk. I do not hate children, I just don’t want any of my own. I volunteer for a shelter, love to garden, love and have a lot of tattoos and love working out. Lisa: I am very sorry that you have ended your battle with IF. I don’t know you personally, but seeing you on here I feel you have a very kind heart and a lot of patience and understanding. In trying to decide what you want to do (as you mentioned in your post) I hope you are able to incorporate your big heart into something that can bring you joy

Hi! I'm Melissa, and DH is Luke. We're both 29, and we've been married almost 4 years ( in June).
I'm a speech therapist at a school, and DH is a mechanical engineer for the government ( he designs new equipment for the army).
We bought his parents house from them almost 2 years ago, and are busy making it "ours". We have one dog/"son" named Chester.
We plan on having kids at some point- but i was born with a chromosome disorder and can't have biological kids, so we'll have to adopt. We're just waiting for the "guts" to start the long, expensive process! So for now, we're enjoying the time to ourselves, being able to put money/time into making the house the way we want it, going out to nice dinners, traveling and just enjoying life

right now we are childless by choice...but some day i think we will end up having one child. for now our jobs keep us busy. we love to hang out with our friends, travel, try new restaurants, exercise. he's an avid golfer... and i have just taken up yoga.
