ckdk	Sydney Rose! On March 6th at 12:19PM I couldn't stop the little one from coming out...weighing in at 6lbs, 9oz, she is too beautiful for words... Ok, my labor story... I woke up around 3 or 4AM on Monday morning with what felt like menstrual cramps... had them for a while, couldn't get comfortable in bed so I went to the couch and sat there for a while... cramping still coming, i started timing them, they were a little erratic, anywhere from 4 to 10 minutes apart... then i went to the bathroom, tmi, there was some blood when I wiped, i called the Dr., they said it's probably your mucous plug but come get checked out. I didn't think it was b/c it was just red blood, but I showered and me and DH went to the Dr, that was about 10:15...doc said "boil the water!" you are 7cm, get to the hospital... we freaked of course, went to North Shore Manhasset, got there at 10:30, by 11 i had an epi and was fully dilated ready to push. Pushed for a little while but the epi made me not feel the contractions and everything slowed...got a little pitocin, waited about an hour, pushed a little more and out she popped at 12:19! I have to say it was not nearly as bad as I imagined... yes, I am quite sore now, but it should be better soon. The staff at NSUH was fantastic. Message edited 2/23/2008 7:37:16 AM.
