My mom is going to Curves by her house and has had great success. There is one by my house an I am thinking of starting up for a few months just because I think right now with the baby I need to make it strict and a routine and I think doing their workout might be quicker then going to my old usual gym plus if I know I'm paying for it I think I will actually go. My other gym is part of my homeowners association fees.

Anyone know of any pro's /cons of Curves?

Or any specials they might be having I really only would like to join for a few months/

I just joined a contour express place...3 month special...be aware that they usually have wierd hours (8-1 then 3-8)...it works for me now b/c I am not working...

i dont know much about curves...my mom spoke to someone there and I think I recall her saying there was an initial fee on top of the monthly fee

I had joined right be foer I found out I was prego it wasn't that expensive but I only did it for 2 months cuz I found out I was prego and I couldn't do certain machines so I gave up. I can't really say anyhting bad about it cuz I didn't give it enough time to try out. What I did like was the fact that it was realy only 1/2 hour work out and you were only required to do it at least 3 times a week

I joined Curves 7 months before my wedding last year. I only joined because I was working two jobs and I could squeeze the half hour workout in between the two. I went consistently but I was kind of bored there. According to them, I lost inches, but I only lost weight when I was seriously dieting. Personally, I don't think it's geared to a younger woman.
I started working out with a personal trainer at a different gym a month before my wedding and only then did I really notice a difference in my body!

hmm.. thanks guys I might go check it out. I don't need to loose weight. I need to loose inches (the extra bulk which helps me carry my large pregnant belly around)

Hmm. I'm thinking I might be better off just figuring out much a few sessions with a personal trainer would be Vs. Curves.

I've been going to curves...it's perfect for someone like me that is a little intimidated by regular gyms and cannot afford a regular personal trainer. I have only been going for a month but I feel a little better and lost several inches so far.

I did it before my wedding. I just happened to be out of work at the time so I could go during the day. When I started working again, I couldn't go because it closed at 7pm and I was never home in time. I did like it, it helped me to tone up although I never really saw a change in the scale.

LOVE Curves. I saw results within a week. My whole body was mught more toned and I lost body fat, etc etc. i loved it and it was fu and great for me with my short attenton span. it was mostly an older crowd, but I didn't mind. I had to quit though b/c of my back. It's not really intense, but it's too intense for me. I loved it though. I would go back ina heartbeat if I could
