From what I hear other people are paying that is really good!!

Most of the Day Care's in my aread are about 1200 a month

ETA for the "real" day care places not some lady in a house with 55 kids running around.

That is an awesome price. I would check out the facility. See if they keep the babies separate from the other kids, do they have their own cribs, what type of security they have (sign in/out policies, etc.) I pay $400 for my Mom, but the DCC at my job runs around $1100.00 a month! Chat Icon

That is a great price. When we were looking at daycare it was about $1,100 a month.

That is an awesome price. I send my daughter to day care 3 days a week and we pay $1,000 per month.

Another thing you may want to look into is to see if your company allows you to do a Flex Spending Account. My company allows me to contribute $4,500 and they contribute $500. It's pre-tax dollars. If you max out on the contribution, it works out that you are saving a months worth of day care (because of the pre-tax dollars).

That is a great price - definetly jump on that!
I paid 600 a month for my son which I thought was really good compared to other places that I have checked out.

wow - Craig and I are no where near this point yet, so this is the first I've heard of day care prices.... OMG, I can't get over these average prices!!! Chat Icon Your company day care price sounds pretty reasonable compared to the other prices here. My company also offers day care, but it's here in the city.... I'm curious now as to how much they charge for this!

I get a discount from work also and it is $700/month before taxes (it is pre-taxed).

500 a month is great. I pay 265 a week for a woman to come into my house to watch im, take him to school, bath him, clean my house and other things. So 500, I think is a great price

I would jump on it if they are known to be good.

is this just NY pricing...does daycare run the same anywhere?

I'm not sure, but I'm going to assume that NY, along with everything else, is probably a lot more expensive than around your neck of the woods Shana Chat Icon
