There's on in Rockville Centre and one in Ronkonkoma. Anyone have any feedback on either place or the concept in general?

TIA

I had posted this same question on a special needs forum that i'm also on. I got about 8 responses. Of the 8, ONE family saw improvement. They said the staff was kind (but they ARE NOT teachers or therapists) but none of the parents could tell me EXACTLY what goes on because the kids are separated. That and the pricetag (several thousand dollars) turned me away.

I've taken a Brain Gym course and we utilize some of the exercises/activities in our Sensory Street Kids classes. I think they're great -- they help "connect" the right and left sides of the brain and can be either calming or focusing.

What are the goals that you're looking to accomplish? increased attention for homework help? Decreased "hyper' activity? I have a bunch of resources that have great results ... from the Long Island Spectrum Center to educational tutors who specialize in behavior management ... there's a lot out there.
