What else can teachers do besides teach?

GoingNutty	I went to the Hofstra career center a few years ago to find out and the lady didn't have a clue... I am in a Catholic school and making no money... plus I'm not sure how much I love the work... What I want to know is with a degree, what else can I do besides teach?? Posted 6/12/05 9:02 PM
MrsProfessor	Good question! I have had a tough year- I have been out of the classroom, want to go back for next year but my principal has no one to replace me. I am really thinking about a career change but don't know what I would do. I am also a little stuck because I have almost ten years in, make a good salary and would definitely take a hit, at least at first. And I can't afford that right now. btrflygrl	what about starting your own tutoring business? my best friend is a spanish teacher and she is a SAHM right now. She'll teach Adult ed at night and for awhile, she created an Emergency Spanish class for firefighters and EMT's that she was teaching at her local fire depts. Posted 6/14/05 9:05 AM
