Sensory Gym For Older Kids?

I found a couple, but all for younger children. Does anyone know of any for older children (9)? We had tried My Gym but I don't think Nicholas really fit in there since his needs weren't as severe as the other children in the class. TIA Chat Icon

There's a new sensory gym in Stony Brook that i was really impressed with.

She takes some insurances, trying to get onto more. It's individual OT though, not sure if you're looking for more of a group class setting. i also heard about a new Karate program in Setauket that I;ve been meaing to check out. I'll let you know when I find out more.

Thanks Lea! I'll look into it. Unfortunately there are no OT's that accept Nicholas' insurance so I'll be paying OOP anyway

We use Island Therapies in Deer Park. I always see older children there.

Tender Age in Oakdale also has a sensory gym. I am not sure of the age group though.

Kerri, do you go to the Saturday morning program at Island Therapies? I was looking at that but it has the younger age group. The cost is reasonable. I think I'll call them next week and see if they accomodate older children for that program.

No, we go for private therapy. I'm sure they have programs for older children. Lance is usually the youngest one there.
