When did dr tell you that you could start TTC again and when did you actually start? Any luck?

-1st doctor said 1 cycle. I got pregnant that next cycle. -2nd doctor said 3 months.
I think doctors range from 1-3 months on their recommendation.
Your doctor didnt tell you ? He'll probably mention it at your follow up visit.
How are you feeling ?

I have been reading A LOT about this recently...and Not what my Dr. said but Dr's tend to have a set statement they follow...
They say that at least one full cycle.
The first cycle , especially after a D & C , you almost never ovulate. And most dont get a period till more then 4 weeks after their D & C which shows this.
Plus you need time for your HCG levels to come down to normal. I am 4 weeks tomm. Past my M/C and D &C and I still have HCG in my system. So it could take a while.
After that...I think your good to go.
There is though a higher risk of M/C in the first 3 cycles after a M/C if you had a D&C.. Which is probably why Dr's say the 3 cycle rule... The thinking about this is that it takes up to 3 cycles for the uterine lining to get thick enough to support a PG. Especially after a d &C , where its thinned out a lot.
Also 3 cycles is techniclaly only 2 AF's.
HTH!

My doctor said I could try again after I got my first period after the D&C. My first AF came exactly 5 weeks after the procedure, but has been very irregular and impossible to track, so I'm waiting for my next AF.

They told me no BD for 3 weeks after D&C. I went for my 3 week follow up appt. after my D&C, and she told me that I could do whatever I wanted. Nothing about waiting.
