I just found out that my SIL's sister is PG and is due the same EXACT day I would have been due. I am happy for her, but I am embarrassed to admit it stung. I feel jealous, sad and a little bitter all at the same time. I heard the news from my SIL who knew I was PG, knew I had mc and knew that was my EXACT due date. It wasn't necessary for her to tell me right now. I just had the mc a week and a half ago and even though I was only 5 wks it still hurt....I never see her sister, couldn't she give me some time. That seems really insensitive of her to just drop it on you....she definitely could have given you a little time to work through your own situation. Posted 10/12/08 5:48 PM |

No she just announced it to myself and my in-laws who don't even know about the mc which made it even harder and more awkward for me. Posted 10/13/08 7:53 AM |

I was preggo and about to share my news the same day my SIl lost hers. I held out a few weeks. Mine is turning 2 next month and they would have been 3 months apart. Its hard...ya never know what the right thing to do is. Since then she has had 2 more. We are surrounded by tons of midgies...LOL Posted 10/15/08 4:09 PM |

I am so sorry you were hurt. If someone hasn't gone through the loss of a pg or baby - they really just don't know what to say or when is a good time to say it. Posted 10/16/08 9:35 AM |
