I just talked to New beginnings yeaterday and cathy said that we need a booklet of photos and a letter to the birthmother. I will send those in today.(OF COURSE I SPENT 2 HOURS LAST NIGHT GETTING THESE TOGETHER) After they get this together they will send our Home study to Spence Chapin and then to Korea. Then we have about 4-5 weeks until referral. WOW! i guess i just wanted to shaare with you guys cause I am excited.
Hubby still thinks its going to be next fall. Hes in for a big surprise.

WOW, that is great....
We drove there yesterday and dropped off the last bit of Initial Pkg papers, now we wait for the social worker....

I didn't relize you are waiting for a SW too. wow it shouldn't be long now. then you can get your dossier off to China! YEAH!

OMG, that's so exciting!  I didn't realize that you could give a book of pictures to the birthmom. That's great -- gives me something to do while I wait. I'm starting to get annoyed with this wait. I'm emailed NB last night ... I may call on my cell phone on my lunch break -- bc I know they received my pkg (I got a certified mail receipt on 2/6). How long do you normally hae to wait to get an assigned social worker?
Sandra, I'm SO excited that Scott finished his autobiography!

How many pictures did you put together and what type of booklet did you put it in? Will your letter be translated at NB or SWS?

Great!! Congratulations on finally getting the autobiographies done. Writing that was one of the hardest things for us!

Great!! Congratulations on finally getting the autobiographies done. Writing that was one of the hardest things for us!
Of course, all his writing by hand ended up being only 1page typed, so I had to add to it to make it a full 3 pages.

I broke down -- I called NB. They told me that my documents are under review with the adoption committee (see Sandra, it is normal protocol  ) and that I should get called by a social worker in a week.

Well, they had my completed pkg in hand by 2/6 and they told me i'd probably hear from them the week of the 20th, so that expect a bit over a two week wait. Who knows though -- since you sent yours in bits at a time, they have already made progress with yours. I love how we're always on the same schedule, Sandra.
