i was in the doctors waiting room with 2 of my stepkids and of course they were not listening..par for the course. the other people in the waiting room thought i was their older sister telling them what to do. one guy said "wow my sister used to boss me around like that and i didn't listen to her either." my ss turned to him and said "that's my stepmom" and ss started to behave after that. i guess i should take it as a compliment that i look younger than i am but come on..i'm 33 and my ss is 13 and this guy actually asked who was the older sibling. If anyone can understand, I can. I look like I am about 17 and I am 29. I know it SHOULD be a "good" thing, but I have an 11 yr old SS and a 2 year old DD and people stare ALL the time. People even approach me with the rudest comments and ask if I am the babysitter (mind you my DD looks like my clone) or older sister. It gets annoying to say the least.
