visiting a newborn

DH wants to go visit friend's newborn baby girl today.

I respond - a baby girl like we would have right now.

He responds - why do you always say that. It makes me sad doesn't it make you sad to say ?

I respond - I'm thinking it, I have to say it. Gotta get it off my chest.

Then I said - we'll if people would be more considerate of my loss and have baby boys instead, we wouldn't be having this problem. Chat Icon

I hate how seeing newborns make me feel now. I used to LOVE to see them and hold them.
Anyone else feel that way ?

I have nothing to say to you other than I can empathize 1000%, and TOTALLY KNOW HOW YOU FEEL.

I absolutely know how you feel. I had my first loss when my nephew was 6 months old, there was a party the week after my D&C and I couldn't hold him. My sister ended up being mad at me for ignoring the baby, but I just couldn't do it.
