Buy me,Get me,Give me

Take me, Bring me, I want,I need, you better get me, you need to give me....These are the words I heard over and over again over the last 5 days.... Does anyone else get this when they have their Stepkids??The list of demands(not requests) was completely out of control.....Then there were the statements......"If you could afford to stay in this hotel why can't you just buy me toys,next time just give me the money"...or my personal favorite......."my mom is broke so you guys need to buy us everything"
To fill you in a little...........the Biomom refuses to work...the kids are older and are in school from 7am-till 430pm...she feels that's her rest time She lives off her childrens child support and doesn't see anything wrong with that since she has to care for them.We have bought them everything....The beds they sleep on,the tv they watch,the clothes they wear, a computer for school work,we even paid for biomoms car when it was being repo'd so the kids wouldn't have to walk to school...Why is DH still the bad guy? I need some advice from the people who have been at this a little longer than I have........does anyone else deal with a biomom that refuses to work? While we were visiting biomom left a message that she needed 3000 or else the children would be living on the street b/c she was being evicted............now what? I don't want to see these kids suffer but I'm really tired of giving to the biomom fund.......WWYD?

OMG that is absurd. Is there any way the kids can come and live with you guys until BM gets her act together? I'm not sure if that is even an option for you but I would much rather have the control on the kids' situation than to constantly be bailing the BM out. She must be a real gem.

Oh yes- BM is my case works but is under-employed and just happens to be a waitress who shows very little on her W-2 just to play poor me in court...When judge asked her why w/ her children in school fulltime does she only work 3 nights a week, her answer was "so I can spend time with my kids" Ummmm...wouldnt the logical thing to do be to work WHILE they are in school, and be home with them when they actually ARE home (hence not putting them in childcare that my DH has to pay for)...Also she collects CS from both my DH for my SD and from another man for her older daughter and is re-married...So I feel for you- hopefully your SC realize when they are older just how much you have done for them and will appreciate you both all the more

I have a similar situation. We are actually trying to sell the house to get a bigger one so that we can take custody of the kids, DH child support is $275 a week, Thats a huge amount to pay & watch the bio mom go out 24/7 enjoy her life as if she has not one responsiblity, We get the kids EVERY weekend, & its from thursdays till mondays, most times, usually from friday to monday , & thats is alwasy every weekend, Come friday she is hammering the hell outta us, that she needs a break , meanwhile when the kids are in her care , they never are home they are @ her moms , ( g mas) who lives across the street , she has it made.. makes me ill

our BM always worked but we have always encountered a tremendous amount of entitlement from SD. She expects everyone around her to spend every last penny they have to make her momentarirly happy. BM was struggling finacially because her 2nd husbands career was in the toilet so BM got a job but I think she spent her entire first paycheck on a Wii & games for SD! I'm sure she had bills or whatever she could have paid with that money. The behavior from the kids is either learned or widely excepted from their Mother, that's why they do it!
