Nervous mommy!!! Updated!!!!

Little James has to go to the Pulmonolgist tommorrow. His weight gain at last weeks Doctor appointment was only 10 ounces from the previous month. Dr. is concerned because poor weight gain is a sign of heart or lung problems...and since James was on some for of Oxygen for the 1st 4 and 1/2 months of his life the Dr....wants me to rule out any lung or heart problems. Im so nervous....I pray that my baby boy is healthy...and that the reason he didn't gain alot is because he is so active.

We jus got make from the DR.
James is great....his lungs are clear...his saturation level is between 96-98 and his heart sounds nice and strong.
Hi did lose an ounce since last week...but that can be because the scales in the different Dr. offices are calibrated different.

We have an appt. with the high risk Dr. on Monday....(just a followup, since James is a Preemie) They are just going to check and see if he is were he should be for his corrected (gestational) age.

Thank you so much for all your kind words and prayers. Our little boy is the World to us...and we are so happy that he keeps proving the Dr.'s wrong and keeps advancing so nicely with no set backs.

My daughter was a poor weight gainer. As long as he doesn't fall off of the growth chart most docs will just ask you to come in for weight checks every other month. Some kids are more active than others, some are poor eaters, and some are genetics, the most important is head circumference (brain growth). It;s scary though, we had weight checks every other month for my daughter;'s first 18 months of life, my nerves were shot!!! We are now in the 5th-10th % for weight and height.
