Sentimental baby gift

We just got some great news my brother and sis n law are having a baby. We had a real rough month as my dad has recently passed. What I wanted to know is if anyone had any sentimental creative ideas that i could give the baby from my dad. I heard of making a blanket out of the persons clothes...which I find really neat. How do you go about doing this? Also any additional thoughts/ ideas would be so greatly appreciated! TIA

This company makes quilts out of baby clothes, but they probably can do it with your dad's as well. Memory Blanket
