It is next Wed at 10am in Hempstead. My homestudy is completed. My dossier is 90% done. And with all of that I am 100% nervous. I am starting to get really nervous about having a second child...both under 3. I work full-time and worried about how on Earth I will pull this off. I cry when I think about my baby boy...in Africa, maybe with his birth mother right now, maybe crying in his orphange home, maybe tomorrow his grandmother will have to take him to the state because she can't care for him anymore...It is just so much for a little baby to go thru. Aaw, it's only natural to have all of these anxieties. I'm so INCREDIBLY happy for you! Do you have a picture of your handsome little boy? You should share it! Good Luck with everything. Remember to keep us posted! You'll be an AMAZING mommy. I can just tell by the way you write about your daughter and son! Posted 1/4/06 8:55 AM |

Regardless of your fears, it really sounds like you're ready for your son to come home. Congratulations! Posted 1/4/06 8:25 PM |

No photo yet...we have to wait until we are matched in Ethopia which is about 3 months after our dossier is submitted. We are submitted it in Febuary. Posted 1/5/06 6:20 PM |

Oh Wow, How Exciting! By the way you talk about him, I thought you had already seen him. How do you know you're going to get a boy? Did they allow you to select a gender preference? How silly of me -- you're saying your dossier is almost completed -- of course you haven't gotten your referral. Now comes the hard part -- the wait! Did they provide you with an approximate timeframe? DH & I considered adopting from Ethiopia too. The children there are so beautiful. Good Luck! Keep us posted. Posted 1/5/06 6:42 PM |

Our agency, Wide Horizons for Children, allows parents who already have a child to state a perference for a child of the opposite gender. They do not allow first time parents to choice gender, nor would they have allowed us to chose another girl. But since we have Molly, we decided we wanted to adopt a boy. Posted 1/7/06 10:53 PM |

Good Luck Michele! I was just wondering if your timeframe was similar to mine. We are already in the process of adopting from Korea. I'm excited there are others going through the process at the same time as me and my hubbie. Posted 1/7/06 11:11 PM |

aww : ) I can tell by what your writing how much love already you have for your new son. Good luck on a speedy referral and good luck on your fingerprinting. Just relax as they are doing it or it could take forever. Mine was done 1 2 3 but my poor hubby kept tensing up and he was there for about 20 minutes. Posted 1/8/06 1:04 AM |
