Jewelry making.. need help

I am trying to make earrings but CANNOT do the wrapped loop on a headpin. I have all the right tools and have read everything online, and still I can't do it. It always comes out very crooked and I can not get two to match Any tips?

You have the small needle nose? The best bet is to start it a little and then switch your tool to fit into the start and roll....
