I know, it's personal but I am asking anyway. Message edited 2/20/2008 5:32:47 PM. Posted 2/20/08 5:30 PM |

I usually do $10... but we're broke (DH is still interning). Posted 2/20/08 5:40 PM |

I feel like we give to stuff like this at least a couple times a month, so we do about $25 since it is so often. We get hit up all the time though...Kids of co-workers doing walks for charity, co-workers, friends, etc. I think $50 is more than generous. Posted 2/20/08 5:49 PM |

Hmmm, you say you're financially comfortable but not wealthy and you're giving to other charities as well. I think giving each charity $50 might be a bit much if you can't swing it. So maybe $20-30, that should be better. Message edited 2/20/2008 6:52:57 PM. Posted 2/20/08 6:52 PM |

I do $25-50 depending on the charity, how close I am to them, and what I can afford at the time. Many of my close friends donated $50 for me when I ran the half marathon for TNT. Posted 2/20/08 7:05 PM |

Thanks everyone. I just assumed that these people were getting more from everyone else than they did from me but I do not know that for sure. Posted 2/20/08 7:56 PM |

I would say $50-$75 per person sounds reasonable. I have given $200.00 for a good cause. Posted 2/20/08 8:03 PM |

Depends on how close I am to the person asking and the charity. The norm for me is $50-$75. Posted 4/1/08 11:51 PM |

I have gotten anywhere between $5- $50. Honestly, anything is appreciated. $25 is fine. Posted 4/2/08 7:36 AM |
