Chest Pain

Has anyone had anything similar to this?
About a week ago I started having a lot of mucus in my nose, very stuffed up, and then the next day my head felt congested. Also coughing up some mucus. I didn't take any meds. This happened to me last year around the same time on and off through spring, so I figured it was allergies again.
Well yesterday in addition all of a sudden my upper chest started to hurt. Any exertion, laughing, even just breathing too heavy seems to trigger it worse. I don't have a sore throat, but I have been coughing a little bit. And more mucus, greener in color. Sometimes the chest pain is pretty bad.
I've been going to work and doing everything as usual (except no exercising). I have a dr. appt on Friday, but I'm wondering if anyone has had this happen to you before, was it something serious and if I should go to the doctor sooner, or if I should just wait till Fri.

sounds like you may have an infection/bronchitis. def keep that dr's appt. or get in to see the dr. sooner. feel better soon.

go to the doctor!!! you might have pneumonia or something.
